This is an article written by a man named Chris Ballard in 2003 in a Sports illustrated page. The title of the article is “Celebrity STALKER”. This article talks about a movie that an actor named Tommy Lee plays in. It is about the movie and how the person in the movie is a teen and stalks different celebrities, but also helps with finding missing persons. This article may be able to help with my paper, but I doubt it. I could see it being a good way to make it an alternative add to my paper, but it would take a lot of research to try to get it all to relate.



2.      Bennett, Courtney. "FAN CLUB CONFESSIONS: Teens Underestimate Influence of Celebrity Idols." Psychology Today, 35.1 (2002): 18.

This article was written by Courtney Bennett in the academic journal called Psychology Today. She talks about a study that discusses all the different influences that celebrities have on teens. It goes in-depth with the reaction of the teens and how they perceive the celebrity. This will help a lot with explaining my topic. I could use this to further go in to the thoughts on how teens are influenced by celebrities.

This article is written by Bill Carter. It is about how marketers frame their work to get certain kids. This helps with showing the media focuses on teens. In the article, he talks about how they use celebrities to get teens to buy things. This helps with my strategy of celebrities influencing things. Even buying things made by celebrities, influences teens.

This is an article written by an unknown source. It is published in the Nursing Standard. It talks about how teens want to be what celebrities are in real life or in shows. It shows that even the jobs played by celebrities on television or in movies make teens want to be just like them. This article handles the career aspects of teens. It helps show how celebrities play a huge role in teen’s thoughts. This is what my topic is about, and will lead to helping me prove my topic.

This is an article written by an unknown writer. It was also written in the Journal of Consumer Marketing. It is about a study done to see how and if teens are influenced when they purchase things or in their behavior by celebrities. The study concludes that they do. They affect a lot of the things that the teens buy and how they act. This helps the same way some of the other articles help. They prove that celebrities influence today’s teens.

This Article is from a book of articles that called “American Psychologist”. It is basically about the human behavior and how this behavior is attributed to others. It analyzes the behavior of people and how they affect others. It uses a structure which is based on a series of trends of experiments they did based upon their experiences with other people. This will help my paper only a little bit. I know that there are better sources out there for my topic. This only talks about other people’s experiences with regular people not necessarily celebrities

This is an article written by Hannah Frankel. It was written in the Educational Supplement. It talks about how teens today think that being successful academically isn’t as good as being successful on a reality television show. This is influenced by the people that get rich off of shows today. The people that teens tend to look up to are these people that are on reality television shows, and not politicians or professors in schools. This helps further prove my point if how celebrities influence teens today.

This is an article created by an unknown author. It was written in a weekly reader about teens. It is about how Celebrities play a major role on people’s everyday life. It talks about how our culture is affected by celebrities. This will be an added help for proving that they affect our lives. While this talks about all people and not just teens, it includes teens. This is why it is helpful.

This is an article written by an unknown author. It is about sports celebrities and how they influence the new modern youth group. It goes more in-depth of how teens are mimicking the sports celebrities and how this affects their life. This will help with the explaining how celebrities are influencing today’s teens. I can incorporate it my paper.

This is an article written by Elizabeth Wellington. It is called “From Cardboard ‘Celebrities, ’Teens Learn to Covert Fame”. This article is about celebrities basically telling how to get famous. These aren’t major stars, but people with at least a little influence of the teens. This article helps me a lot with my topic. It tells about how kids look at celebrities. It talks about how celebrities influence, and teach teens to be like them and act like them. It also gives reason to why teens are so influenced by them.

    Good work, here. I think you have a lot of good potential here, since you consider a lot of perspectives and ideas. I would look for more scholarly sources, though, that offer conflicting perspectives. For instance, is there research that says the opposite?
