·         “An extension of People’s Front porch” This is a quote that helps her

essay because it shows the creativity of the language use of the Starbucks Company. It contributes to the style of her voice. It adds to the context of her language that gets people to think that she is proving how they talk and feel about their product. I’ve come to the conclusion that using sources is supposed to show how your source not only relates to your paper, but also to an underlying element in the paper.

2.      Pendergrast, Mark. Uncommon Grounds: The History of Coffee and How It Transformed Our World. New York: Basic Books, 1999.

·         “No amount of advertising could move the shoddy products the major roasters offered.” This source complicates the wording of Starbucks companies. It tells that the wording is shoddy, but also then goes on to use lingo used by the Starbucks Company.  It reflects on how the she views the company, but also how the company is viewing themselves.

·         “We wanted to introduce them to fine coffees the wine Stewards bring forward fine wines.” This shows what they are trying to promote in their own companies. It pushes toward the reader how the words and language of the company starts to sound people like. It starts to bring about a certain life to the company itself. This shows that your source should relate and fully show and explain the companies’ motives.
