Assignment 2
After reading Davis and Shade’s essay I understood a
little more about research papers, and what they are meant to do. In the essay,
they are trying to argue the point that research papers are necessary in the
world that we live in today. They are arguing this point that research papers
are needed and have a purpose in today’s society. They benefit everybody when things
need further explanation or exploration into a certain topic. They seem to be
analyzing the history of research papers and their relevance to us. I think
their model is better because it makes it easier to write research papers. They
wanted us to look into their findings and understand their point of view. After
analyzing all of their facts and thoughts on this topic, I see what they have
come to think and believe.
